Updated July 12, 2026: Disney has temporarily paused the My Disney Experience walk-up lists for both The Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom and GEO-82 at EPCOT. Advance Dining Reservations are again the reliable way to plan either lounge.

The buttons appeared July 9, briefly giving guests hope for same-day access. They are no longer displayed in the app, and Disney has not announced a return date.

What Changed in My Disney Experience

The Beak and Barrel and GEO-82 each gained a Join Walk-Up List button on July 9. Within days, both buttons disappeared. Disney confirmed that the features are temporarily paused and said an update will come when they return.

This is a reversal of the original app test, not proof that walk-up access has been canceled forever. The useful distinction for a park day is simple: the feature may return later, but it is not an option guests should count on now.

How to Plan for The Beak and Barrel

The Pirates-themed tavern is in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Keep an Advance Dining Reservation if you have one, and continue checking for cancellations if the lounge matters to your trip.

Do not hold a large gap in the day waiting for the button to reappear. Use our Magic Kingdom planning guide to keep nearby rides and meals grouped together, then treat any future same-day opening as a bonus.

What GEO-82 Guests Should Know

GEO-82 is the Spaceship Earth lounge at EPCOT. Its walk-up button appeared and disappeared on the same short timeline, so guests should also use Advance Dining Reservations as the primary plan.

EPCOT’s size makes a speculative wait more disruptive. If you are touring World Showcase or have a festival schedule, avoid crossing the park solely to check for an unannounced walk-up list.

What Disney Has Not Confirmed

Disney has not said why the features were paused, when they will return, whether both will return together, or how much daily walk-up capacity they may eventually offer. Check each venue in My Disney Experience on the day of your visit, but plan the rest of the day without assuming same-day access.

Would you use a walk-up list for The Beak and Barrel or GEO-82 if Disney brings it back? Let us know in the comments below; we would love to hear your plans.
