Guests staying at the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve can add Halloween activities to their resort time without buying a theme-park ticket. The biggest lineup runs October 30 through November 1, with trick-or-treating and costume contests on Halloween night.

Swan and Dolphin Halloween Weekend Activities

The resort’s official Halloween schedule lists a three-day celebration from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1, 2026. Planned activities include a scavenger hunt, inflatable maze, arts and crafts, Halloween hair braiding, and a poolside DJ.

The schedule is useful for families already planning a pool break or resort day. It is not a substitute for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party entertainment, but it creates a lower-commitment way to keep the holiday theme going outside the parks.

Halloween Night Brings Trick-or-Treating and Costume Contests

October 31 adds trick-or-treating and face painting. Children and adults can enter costume contests beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Dolphin’s Cabana Deck and the Swan Reserve pool deck near the towel hut.

Resort activities can change with weather, operations, or participation. Check the current schedule after arrival before promising a specific activity to children.

October Costume Contests Start Before Halloween Weekend

The celebration is not limited to the final weekend. Costume contests are scheduled at 5 p.m. every Saturday in October—October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31. The resort also advertises seasonal drinks and sweets, including a special chef treat for guests who wear a costume to a sit-down restaurant.

The Swan and Dolphin $209 Halloween Rate Has Extra Fees

A seasonal “SPOOKY” rate starts at $209 per night for qualifying stays from August 15 through October 31. The advertised amount excludes tax and the resort service fee, so compare the complete stay total rather than the headline nightly rate.

The Swan and Dolphin are on Walt Disney World property but are not Disney-owned hotels. That distinction matters when comparing cancellation rules, fees, room benefits, and loyalty-program options. Our Disney World resort guide explains the broader hotel tradeoffs.

Who Should Plan a Disney World Resort Halloween Night Here?

This lineup fits guests already booked at the complex, families taking October 31 away from the parks, and party-goers who want something near the room before or after a Magic Kingdom night. It is less persuasive as a reason to switch hotels if the final room total, resort fee, or transportation plan is a worse fit.

The resort recently opened a major convention expansion, covered in our Swan and Dolphin expansion update. Halloween guests should expect a large, active hotel complex rather than a small themed Disney resort.
