Animal Kingdom’s future Encanto attraction now has a name, a story, and one especially useful planning detail: there will be no height requirement. Disney calls the ride Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, a family-friendly journey through Casita that is still waiting on its biggest missing detail—an opening date.

What is confirmed: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is coming to Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom. It will be a no-height-requirement ride set on Antonio’s gift day. Disney has not announced an opening date, ride duration, queue details, or Lightning Lane plans.

Antonio’s Gift Day Is the Ride’s Starting Point

Disney says guests will visit Casita to celebrate Antonio receiving his ability to communicate with animals. Riders will board lively furniture-like vehicles created by Casita, moving through rooms that expand the house beyond the spaces shown in the film. The journey ends in Antonio’s rainforest bedroom, where Disney says more than 50 animals will appear.

Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow, and Diane Guerrero are returning as Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela. Disney has not announced whether other original cast members will be part of the attraction.

A Strong Family Option—When It Opens

The confirmed lack of a height requirement makes this an unusually clear fit for multi-age Animal Kingdom days. That does not mean guests should count it as open for a near-term trip: Disney has not supplied an opening date, operating approach, or access system. Until that changes, families should plan around the Animal Kingdom lineup available on their visit.

Tropical Americas Is Becoming a Broader Land

Disney also named the land’s carousel El Carrusel de los Animalitos, with 22 hand-carved Disney and Pixar animal figures. Tropical Americas will also include Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, a large quick-service hacienda, shopping, and a Maya-inspired play area.
