What Is New for the 2026 Party?
Tomorrowland gets a new masquerade led by Stitch, Lilo, and Angel at Rockettower Plaza Stage. Stitch’s changing accessories trigger different themes, making it a flexible drop-in experience rather than a single show you must schedule around.
Adventureland also adds a series of pirate antics led by Captain Jack Sparrow. Exact appearances can shift, so check the party map and My Disney Experience on your event date before crossing the park for one moment.
The Returning Entertainment to Prioritize
- Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade: the party’s signature procession, with the Headless Horseman, Haunted Mansion characters, and Disney villains.
- Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular: the Halloween fireworks and projection show hosted by Jack Skellington.
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular: the Sanderson Sisters’ castle-stage show with Disney villains.
- Cadaver Dans: Frontierland’s Halloween barbershop quartet.
- Character greetings: Halloween costumes and rarer pairings can produce some of the night’s longest lines.
Showtimes are the piece to verify closest to your party. Build the night around the fireworks and one parade, then fit food, candy, and rides into the gaps. Trying to see every stage show and wait for multiple rare characters is where a five-hour plan usually breaks.
A Five-Hour Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Strategy
- Enter between 4 and 5 p.m. Finish check-in, orient yourself, and eat a real meal before 7 whenever possible.
- Pick two party-only priorities. Choose one headline show plus either a character, parade, or food target that would disappoint you to miss.
- Do not zigzag for snacks. Group choices by land and let the party map guide the order.
- Use the first hour deliberately. Character waits can grow fast, while trick-or-treat lines often become easier later.
- Save regular rides for gaps. The exceptions are attractions with party-specific changes, such as pitch-black Space Mountain or Mad Tea Party’s special lighting.
- Leave margin before midnight. A last-minute cross-park dash is a poor ending to an expensive event.
2026 Party Food: Choose a Meal, Not a Scavenger Hunt
The 2026 lineup is large enough to consume the whole night if you chase every photogenic item. A better approach is to choose one savory item and one dessert near the entertainment you already plan to see.

Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table offer party-exclusive menus beginning at 4 p.m. for party guests, while The Plaza Restaurant has Halloween items during regular and party hours. A table-service reservation can be fun, but it also trades away a large share of the event unless dinner is one of your main reasons for attending.
Trick-or-Treating Without Losing the Night
Party guests receive a complimentary treat bag, and more than a dozen trails distribute familiar candy brands. Adults may participate too, and a costume is not required. If candy is important, visit several trails later in the night instead of queuing at the first station you see at 7.
Guests with food allergies can ask about Disney’s allergy-friendly process when they arrive. Always tell the Cast Member assisting you about a special-diet request rather than assuming a wrapper or token is suitable.
Costume Rules Adults Need to Know
The party is one of the exceptions that allows guests 14 and older to wear costumes, but adult costume masks are not allowed. Costumes must remain family-friendly, may not include realistic weapon props, should not contain sharp materials, and cannot drag on the ground. Guests also may not pose for photos or sign autographs as if they are a Disney character.
Disney can update or interpret these rules at the entrance. Review the official costume guidelines shortly before packing, especially for capes, layered outfits, masks for younger guests, or accessories.
Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth It?
The ticket is easiest to justify for families who value the parade, fireworks, Halloween characters, candy, and atmosphere as a bundle. It is harder to justify if the main goal is riding standard Magic Kingdom attractions, because a regular park day gives you more hours and does not require a second event ticket.
Party nights also change the calculation for visitors without event tickets. Magic Kingdom closes early to day guests, but those shortened days can draw lighter daytime crowds. Park-hopper guests can use the morning and early afternoon at Magic Kingdom, then leave before the event.
The Simplest Winning Plan
Arrive before 5, eat before 7, choose one parade, protect the fireworks window, and limit yourself to one high-wait character. Add one savory party item, one dessert, and a late candy loop. That plan leaves room for surprises without turning the night into a checklist.
