Families planning a November or December Walt Disney World trip now have the full 2026 calendar for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The separately ticketed Magic Kingdom event will run for 25 nights from November 8 through December 22, with an early ticket window opening July 9 for eligible hotel guests.
The date list is the part to study before tickets go on sale. Friday nights, the final parties before Thanksgiving, and the last few dates near Christmas are usually the easiest choices for travelers to agree on—and therefore the dates most likely to draw early interest.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026 Dates
The party runs on select Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, plus a few additional dates around Thanksgiving. Here is the complete schedule announced by Disney:
November 2026
- November 8
- November 9
- November 12
- November 13
- November 15
- November 17
- November 19
- November 20
- November 24
- November 25
- November 27
- November 29
December 2026
- December 1
- December 3
- December 4
- December 6
- December 8
- December 10
- December 11
- December 13
- December 15
- December 17
- December 18
- December 20
- December 22

If the party is the centerpiece of your trip, pick two workable dates before the sale opens. That gives you a fallback if your first choice disappears. Travelers with flexible plans may find the earlier Sunday-through-Thursday parties easier to fit around a full park itinerary than Thanksgiving week or the final pre-Christmas dates.
When Do 2026 Tickets Go on Sale?
Ticket sales begin in two stages:
- July 9, 2026: Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, or Shades of Green may buy tickets.
- July 16, 2026: Tickets open to all other guests.
Disney says Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will have access to special pricing. However, the company has not yet posted the 2026 nightly price range or the date-by-date discount chart. Tickets will be available online or by calling 407-934-7639.

One useful rule has not changed: party guests may enter Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m., even though the event officially begins at 7 p.m. That three-hour head start can cover dinner, photos, and a few regular attractions before the exclusive entertainment starts. A separate daytime park ticket is not required for entry at 4 p.m. with a valid party ticket.
The Biggest Planning Catch: Magic Kingdom Closes Early
Party nights affect more than ticket holders. Magic Kingdom closes early to regular daytime guests on event dates, so anyone planning a standard park day should check operating hours before making dining or transportation plans.
That early closing can work in two different ways. Party guests get a long evening with event-only entertainment, while non-party guests may prefer another park on those dates. Daytime crowds at Magic Kingdom can sometimes shift because many visitors avoid paying for a shortened day, but that is never guaranteed—especially during Thanksgiving week.

For a short trip, avoid using a full-price one-day Magic Kingdom ticket and a party ticket on the same date unless you deliberately want a very long park day. Many families get better value by resting in the morning, entering at 4 p.m., and saving their regular admission for another day.
Characters and Santa Return for the Party
Disney has confirmed several party character locations. Anna and Elsa will meet at Princess Fairytale Hall. Jack Skellington dressed as Sandy Claws and Sally will appear at Town Square Theater, along with Mickey and Minnie in holiday outfits.

Santa’s Christmas Carnival also returns to Storybook Circus near Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstormer. Disney describes it as more than a quick photo stop, with crafts and additional holiday friends planned for the area. That location makes it especially convenient for families spending time in Fantasyland.
Parade, Fireworks, and Castle Entertainment
The returning entertainment lineup includes the party’s three major nighttime productions:
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade, featuring gingerbread performers, ballroom dancers, toy soldiers, Disney characters, and Santa Claus.
- Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, with holiday music, castle projections, lighting effects, and fireworks.
- Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a Cinderella Castle stage show with live performers and characters including Clarabelle Cow, Daisy Duck, and Woody.

The fireworks can be seen from several areas, but guests who want the full projection package should stay near the castle hub. Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland can provide more breathing room for fireworks viewing, though the castle visuals will be less central.

The separately priced Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Parties will also return. Disney has not opened reservations or announced the 2026 prices, so guests should not build a firm dining schedule around those packages yet.

Frozen Holiday Surprise is back as well, bringing Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the snowgies to Cinderella Castle. Disney also plans character dance parties with event DJs at multiple locations around Magic Kingdom.

Five Attractions Get Holiday Makeovers
Disney lists five attractions with seasonal changes for the 2026 party:
- Space Mountain
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Mad Tea Party
- Jungle Cruise
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

Other operating attractions will include Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Disney says more rides will be available, but the full event map and operating list will come later.
Attraction time is the hidden tradeoff at this party. Every minute in a ride queue is time not spent at an exclusive parade, show, character greeting, or treat stop. Guests who visit Magic Kingdom often may want to prioritize party-only offerings and save the standard rides for another park day.
Cookies, Drinks, and Exclusive Merchandise
Cookies, festive beverages, and other treats will be handed out at select locations and are included with admission. The party map and My Disney Experience app will identify the distribution locations. Disney plans to reveal the 2026 specialty food and drink lineup separately.
Event-exclusive merchandise will be sold at the Emporium. The designs and prices have not been released, so collectors should expect another announcement closer to November.
What Disney Has Not Announced Yet
- The 2026 ticket price range
- Which nights receive member discounts
- Dessert-party prices and reservation dates
- Entertainment showtimes
- The complete food and beverage menus
- The full merchandise collection
Disney has confirmed enough to choose a date, but not enough to calculate the final cost of the evening. The ticket price will be the most important missing piece for families comparing this event with another park day, a resort stay, or other holiday activities.
For a look at how the event has worked in a previous season, see our earlier Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party guide. Use it for background rather than current prices or operating details, since those can change each year.
