Recently, an Instagram user under the handle “foosgonedisney” shared a troubling video featuring guests disembarking from the iconic “It’s a Small World” attraction at Disney’s Magic Kingdom without proper authorization or supervision from Cast Members.
Disembarking “it’s a small world”
The footage reveals a family leaving their boat in the Polynesian section of the ride. To everyone’s concern, a small child begins wading in the water, followed closely by an older sibling, while a presumed parent joins them.

Guest Incidents at Disney Parks
In recent years, there has been an alarming increase in guest incidents within Disney Parks, with many documented and shared online. These escalations in rule-breaking behaviors prompted Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort to include “courtesy” sections on their official websites. Walt Disney World conveys a powerful message:
Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.
Unfortunately, Disneyland Resort has also witnessed its fair share of incidents. From a prohibited drone flying over Frontierland to a guest unlawfully jumping onto a Lunar New Year cavalcade float, and even someone bringing a sparkling firework into Disneyland for photographs. Most recently, a guest covertly hid at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to avoid arrest.
Even in the enchanting realm of Magic Kingdom, a fight broke out in Tomorrowland this July. Regrettably, this isn’t the first nor the most severe brawl to occur at the park in recent months.
EPCOT has also experienced various unsettling incidents. A guest went to the extent of flashing her breasts in a photograph, while multiple others indulged in lounging within the France Pavilion fountain. Another individual, possibly inebriated, climbed out of her Gran Fiesta Tour boat during the ride to escape. Furthermore, a guest surprisingly leapt out of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind when the ride made a temporary stop. Tragically, a guest even resorted to slapping an iPad out of a Cast Member’s hands, causing them to be hospitalized after Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure shut down.
At Shanghai Disneyland, a guest was banned after refusing to stop smoking, berating a Cast Member, and then apparently collapsing on the street, forcing the cancellation of the “Mickey’s Storybook Express.”
Wading in water isn’t new to “It’s a Small World” at Magic Kingdom this year. Returning to Disneyland Park, a guest with a baby decided to disembark Pirates of the Caribbean instead of waiting for Cast Member assistance and guidance.
These incidents are not limited to the United States, even Tokyo Disneyland encountered a scenario where a guest had to be removed for lying down on the parade route.
It is disheartening to witness the disregard for rules and safety regulations in these beloved parks. Let us remember to cherish and respect these magical places, ensuring that everyone can enjoy them to the fullest.
Here’s a simple rule to follow: let’s keep it magical at all parks, no matter the situation. If you find yourself in an escalating situation, find a Cast Member immediately to resolve the situation.
