Set your alarms, you NEED to rope drop Magic Kingdom for this magical experience.
Character Interactions
Some people go to Disney Parks for the activities and shows. The fact that we can meet so many of our favorite figures is one thing that sets Disney apart from other amusement parks. Check out Monica’s advice on how to meet people HERE.
Disney Parks are the best place to meet your favorite Disney and Pixar figures. It’s great to meet Mickey and his friends and the princesses, but there’s something magical about meeting figures outside of the typical meet and greet area.
When I went to Walt Disney World for the first time in 1991, there were characters all over the place. Characters’ relationships with each other have changed a lot over the years. These meet-and-greets with characters are now more like the ones you see at Disneyland, where figures walk around.
When we hear of roaming characters at Walt Disney World, this reminds us of these fun, magical surprises. Earlier we shared the magical characters roaming during Happily Ever After fireworks.
Rope Dropping Magic Kingdom
At Disney Parks, “rope drop” refers to the time when a park or attraction opens to the public. Many guests love rope drop because it means they don’t have to wait as long to get into activities. This is a great plan if you don’t want to buy Disney Genie+, but there’s another great reason to go to the Magic Kingdom at rope drop.
When we went to the Magic Kingdom this morning, there was no line to see Merida in her brand-new meeting place. We also got to experience real Disney magic because there were a lot of animals around.
We first saw Aladdin and Jasmine out and about in Adventureland. They looked at the sights and went into the Sunglass Hut to look at some glasses. I love seeing the characters in a relaxed setting.
In Fantasyland, we spotted our favorite stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. These two never disappoint with their fun banter and today was no exception.
This is such a fun experience that guests can enjoy before the heavy crowds arrive for the day.
Guests enjoyed a ride around the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel with Anastasia and Drizella. This was no doubt a fun experience for those guests enjoying the attraction along with those watching as well.
At rope drop, more characters have been seen walking around on other nights as well. This is such a fun thing to do, and guests can do it before the day’s crowds come.
What do you think about these characters who wander around? Do you love to rope drop? When you go to the Magic Kingdom again, will you try to see these wandering characters? Talk about what you think and tell a fellow Disney fan about this great experience.
