This time around, winning the dance competition won’t be enough to save the galaxy. Visitors to EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort had better crank up the mixtape and get ready to blast off on an awesome intergalactic chase through time and space in order to participate in Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
This brand-new roller coaster for families delivers the same amount of fun and excitement as the critically acclaimed “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. It features Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord, who are some of our favorite cosmic outlaws (a.k.a. Peter Quill). The one-of-a-kind attraction is yet another landmark in the evolution of EPCOT, which is still in progress.
The big change
Tonight is the night for Epcot’s After Hours. This presents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy short wait times.
Tonight is the very first time that the attraction has ever run with a standby line, so get there early! Why should something like this be such a big deal?
Guests have only been able to ride the attraction up until this point if they either joined the free virtual queue or paid for an Individual Lightning Lane. Because of this, the number of times you can ride in a single day is restricted. As a result of this recent modification, guests now have the opportunity to ride Cosmic Rewind for an undetermined amount of times throughout the course of the evening.
Tonight marks the very first time in the history of COSMIC REWIND that the attraction will operate with a standby queue.
Good news for the future?
There is a low chance that the standby line will remain operational during daytime hours tomorrow and in the foreseeable future. On the other hand, this is a promising indicator that Disney is experimenting with standby procedures using a more manageable number of Guests.
I AM HOPING THAT DISNEY WILL Remove THE VIRTUAL QUEUE TOTALLY FOR THE ATTRACTION WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS.
