Today, the Pride Month mural was unveiled at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, joining its counterparts at EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom. The unveiling comes just in time for Juneteenth and the annual celebration of LGBTQ+ culture that takes place each year.

The location of the wall has not changed from where it was the year before; it can be found on the walkway leading to Pandora — The World of Avatar directly across from Tiffins Restaurant.

The word “Love” is written in fonts that are appropriate for the park in each of the three murals that have been installed so far, and it serves as this year’s theme for the murals. The one in EPCOT used a font that was unique to that park, while the one in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom used a font that was more in keeping with the theme of the area. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the signage uses a stylized font that is typically reserved for portraying more far-flung regions. The letter “O” is adorned with a silhouette of Mickey Mouse in its center.

The colors black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, pink, white, and light blue are featured in the stripes. Together, they symbolize not only the traditional Pride flag but also additional stripes that call attention to the people of color who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as transgender and non-binary pride.

In addition, both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom feature photo ops themed to Pride Month throughout the month of June. Will you commemorate this special occasion by having your picture taken here? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
